After six years in real estate, Enoh Bajramovski wanted a business that would get him outdoors, keep him active, and give him more control over his schedule. Before joining Jim’s Mowing in Reservoir Central, he watched around 20 to 30 videos, spent a full day working alongside a franchisee, and completed Jim’s Mowing franchise training. Here’s what he learned and why the experience gave him confidence to start his own business.

Why Did Enoh Leave Real Estate To Join Jim’s Mowing?

Enoh chose Jim’s Mowing because he wanted a change after six years in real estate and wanted a business that would let him work outside, stay active, and run his schedule on his own terms.

He had been looking at and researching several different options before deciding Jim’s Mowing looked like one of the best fits for the kind of working life he wanted. The appeal was not simply mowing lawns. It was the combination of being outdoors, running a business, and having more control over when and how he worked.

For Enoh, that change was important enough to move away from an industry he had already spent six years in. His goal was to build something of his own while doing practical work in the field.

Why Did Enoh Choose Jim’s Mowing Over Other Business Options?

Enoh chose Jim’s Mowing because he saw it as a household brand name in Australia and believed that brand recognition could help both his business growth and his clients.

He said that when people drive around Australia, they regularly see Jim’s businesses, whether that is mowing, laundry services, or another division. That visibility gave him confidence in the brand while he compared different business options.

He also believed being part of a recognised brand would give him a stronger platform for growth. Prospective franchisees can learn more about Jim’s Mowing franchise opportunities and how the model works.

What Is Jim’s Mowing Franchise Training Like?

Enoh described the training as great and said the trainers had a fantastic amount of knowledge, with more than a decade or so in the industry.

That experience mattered because he was entering mowing after six years in real estate. He was not relying only on theory. He was learning from trainers who had spent years working around the industry and could answer practical questions.

He also highlighted the atmosphere at training. He said everyone had been nice and even called out the food, saying lunch had been amazing on both days he mentioned. Prospective franchisees can also review the Jim’s Group franchisee training program before deciding whether the model suits them.

How Did Enoh Research Jim’s Mowing Before Joining?

Enoh said he watched about 20 or 30 videos as part of his research, including podcasts and other Jim’s content, before making his decision.

The videos helped him understand what the opportunity looked like beyond a single conversation. He also went out with a Jim’s Mowing franchisee for a day, which gave him the chance to ask the questions he wanted to ask and get direct feedback from someone already doing the work.

That combination of online research and first-hand experience gave him more confidence. Rather than making the decision from information alone, he saw the work, spoke to a franchisee and tested whether the day-to-day reality suited him.

What Happens On A Day Out With A Jim’s Mowing Franchisee?

Enoh’s day out ran from about seven o’clock in the morning until about two o’clock in the afternoon and included mowing, edging and a trip to the tip.

The day showed him several parts of the job rather than just one task. He saw the process involved in completing garden work and handling green waste while also getting a feel for the pace of the day.

Most importantly, he said the franchisee he went out with was an open book. Enoh could ask the questions he wanted and get the information he needed before committing. Jim’s Group also provides information about spending a day on the road with a franchisee for people who want to see the work first-hand.

What Services Will Enoh Offer In Reservoir Central?

Enoh plans to provide essential garden care in Reservoir Central, including pruning, edging, mowing and green waste removal.

He noted that other Jim’s Mowing operators are already working in the broader area, but his focus is on building relationships with customers in his own territory and delivering the core garden services they need.

The service mix gives him several ways to help regular customers instead of relying on mowing alone. He specifically mentioned pruning, edging, mowing and removing green waste, while also noting that other garden care work could form part of the business.

How Will Enoh Connect With Customers In His Local Area?

Enoh believes his Macedonian background will help him connect with some customers around Reservoir and the surrounding suburbs, where he says many Greek, Macedonian and other European-background residents live.

His point was not that every customer will share his background. Local familiarity and shared cultural experience could simply help him build rapport with part of the community he plans to serve.

That local connection sits alongside the recognition of the Jim’s Mowing name. Enoh sees both as useful: a known national brand and his own ability to relate to customers in the area.

What Makes The Jim’s Mowing Service Reliable For Customers?

Enoh said the service is professional and reliable, and he pointed to the Work Guarantee, insurance and checks as benefits for customers.

He contrasted that structure with hiring an unknown independent operator. In his view, customers can take confidence from dealing with a recognised system where operators are insured and checked.

For Enoh, reliability is part of the value he wants his business to provide, not just the physical garden work. Jim’s Group also explains how it helps and supports franchisees through training, systems and ongoing assistance.

What Are Enoh’s Goals For His First 6 To 12 Months?

Enoh’s goal is to grow the business to about 100 regular clients within his 6- to 12-month plan, then bring on a couple of people and spend more time working on the business rather than only in it.

That target gives him a clear first stage: build a stable base of regular customers. Once the client base reaches the level he is aiming for, he wants to add people so the business can handle more work without depending entirely on his own labour.

His longer-term aim is to scale the operation into a larger business. The 100-client target and plan to hire a couple of people show that he is thinking about growth from the start, even though he is only beginning the franchise journey.

How Smooth Was The Process Of Joining Jim’s Mowing?

Enoh described the joining process as really smooth, especially with help from his franchisor, the starter pack, documents, day out, and ongoing communication.

He said having someone available to answer questions made the process easier. He also mentioned support with the starter pack, paperwork, and organising the day out with another franchisee.

Communication was another major point for him. He described the emails and communication as open and transparent and said he did not feel anything had been hidden. When questions came up, he felt they were answered, which helped reinforce his confidence in choosing Jim’s.
