Meet Theron!
Theron Vassiliou is Regional Franchisor for Jim’s Pool Care in the Melbourne Region – encompassing blue-chip areas of the inner city northern suburbs, eastern suburbs and south/bayside areas.
Before joining Jim’s Pool Care, Theron spent many years in corporate roles, including senior management. Like many people, he was looking for something different: more freedom, more control, less corporate stress and a better lifestyle, but also strong income potential.
After researching a range of business and franchise options, Theron joined Jim’s Pool Care in late 2020. He quickly discovered that pool care was not only a practical and profitable business opportunity, but also genuinely enjoyable work. The mix of outdoor work, problem-solving, customer service and business ownership suited him immediately.
Today, Theron is both a working Jim’s Pool Care Franchisee and Regional Franchisor. He continues to work “on the tools” with his own clients while also helping new franchisees enter the industry, build confidence and grow successful businesses of their own.
About Theron Vassiliou
Theron’s path into Jim’s Pool Care started after a long period of research and consideration. Having worked in commercial corporate roles, including marketing and senior management, he understood the pressures that come with corporate life: the meetings, reporting, office environment, politics and constant demands.
Pool Care offered a very different kind of working life.
Rather than being tied to a desk or office, Theron found himself working outdoors, solving real problems for customers, learning practical technical skills and building a business where every hour of effort contributed directly to his own success.
His business grew quickly, and in 2023 Theron was awarded Jim’s Pool Care National Franchisee of the Year. The award recognised not just business growth, but also his commitment to customer service, strong business practices and willingness to share ideas with others in the Jim’s Pool Care system.
